All Hands for All Designers Playoff: Completed 02/22/21

If there’s one thing we’re saying goodbye to in 2021, it’s making excuses around inclusive design. Just having your contrast up to accessibility standards isn’t going to cut it anymore. The bar is higher. That includes the way we present our work.

We’re done with product mocks and stock photography that only feature hands of white, able bodied, cisgender people. That’s why MetaLab and Nappy partnered to create All Hands—a collection of free, high-quality design assets featuring hands of Black and Brown folks.

The collection was created to empower designers with more choice in how they present their work. So we can all be better. Now, we want to see y’all put the assets to use—see below for all the details! And here’s what up for grabs:

The goods:

1st (judge’s choice): 13" MacBook Pro, $1,000 donation to non-profit of your choice, MetaLab swag pack.

2nd (players’ choice):
LaMetric Time Clock, $500 donation to non-profit of your choice, MetaLab swag pack.

3rd (players’ choice): Griffin Power Dock, $250 donation to non-profit of your choice, MetaLab swag pack.

Design

Create a design highlighting what community means to you. Choose an All Hands photo from the downloadable assets above, and use it to showcase your design. Feel free to switch out the backgrounds and placement of the hands.

Rebound

If you’re a Dribbble Player, Rebound this shot (using the button above) by February 22 with your completed design, using the hashtag #AllHands in the description. And don’t forget to follow MetaLab on Dribbble!
